04 - Spread tortilla chips evenly across a large oven-safe platter or baking sheet.
05 - Top chips with the seasoned beef mixture, then sprinkle both cheeses evenly over the top.
06 - Bake for 7–10 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
07 - Remove from oven and immediately scatter tomato, red onion, jalapeño (if using), black olives, cilantro, and avocado over the hot nachos.
08 - Top with dollops of sour cream and serve immediately.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The contrast between hot melted cheese and cool sour cream hits every satisfaction button at once
  • You can customize the toppings to match whatever mood or season you are in
02 -
  • Spread chips in a single layer rather than piling them high or you will end up with soggy disappointments underneath
  • The spices need that minute in the hot pan to wake up or the beef will taste bland and one dimensional
03 -
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for incredibly easy cleanup afterward
  • Wait until the nachos come out of the oven before adding cold toppings so everything stays perfectly crisp
