Strawberry Overnight Oats (Printable)

Creamy oats blended with fresh strawberries and chia seeds for a nutritious make-ahead breakfast.

# What You'll Need:

→ Oats Mixture

01 - 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
02 - 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
03 - 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
04 - 1 tablespoon chia seeds
05 - 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - Pinch of salt

→ Strawberries

08 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

→ Toppings (optional)

09 - Additional sliced strawberries
10 - Chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
11 - Shredded coconut

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium bowl or large jar, combine oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly until fully incorporated.
02 - Gently fold in the diced strawberries until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
03 - Cover the container and refrigerate for a minimum of 6–8 hours, preferably overnight, to allow oats to soften and flavors to meld.
04 - In the morning, stir the oats. If the mixture is too thick, add a small splash of milk to reach desired consistency.
05 - Divide the oats into serving bowls or jars. Top with additional fresh strawberries, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut if desired. Serve chilled.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • You wake up to breakfast already done, which feels like cheating but in the best possible way
  • The oats soften into something almost like pudding, but without any actual cooking or effort
02 -
  • The mixture will look way too liquidy when you first mix it, which is exactly how it should be
  • Chia seeds need time to work their magic, so do not try to eat this after just two hours
03 -
  • Use a mason jar with a wide mouth to make stirring and cleaning easier
  • Toast your nuts beforehand for that warm flavor contrast against the cold oats
